We have two places available on a Sports Leaders; Level 3 Qualification in Lowland Walk Leadership (LWL3) course that will be taking place at Ferny Crofts Scout Activity Centre in the New Forest on 27th, 28th Feb & 1st of March, £180 + £65 registration fee per person. All learning resources will be provided however candidates attending this course will need to pay for the following:
- Arrange & pay for all travel & accommodation costs. There is self-catering accommodation available at Ferny Crofts Activity Centre for £10 per person per night (in shared rooms)
Candidates attending this course must bring:
- suitable walking shoes/boots for a whole day of walking/hiking in a range of different path terrain.
- waterproofs
- packed lunch
- spare, warm layers
- a rucksack to carry your food, water & spare layers.

Candidates attending this course must meet the following prerequisites:
- over the age of 17
- able to walk for a full day in a range of conditions in British weather.
There is a one-day assessment associated with this qualification available on 24/08/23 at Ferny Crofts Scout Activity Centre; £65 per person. Candidates attending this assessment will need to have created a logbook including a minimum of 15 hours of walking experience before the assessment date.
