Community Activator Coach Apprenticeship

The Community Activator Coach is a 9 – 18 month programme designed to equip individuals to lead and coach fun, inclusive, and engaging activities that inspire people of all ages to embrace and maintain a physically active lifestyle. This apprenticeship develops the skills needed to work in a variety of settings, particularly with inactive groups in diverse communities.

Typical job roles include instructor, activator, sports coach, activity leader, community worker, and outreach officer.

About the Role

Community Activator Coaches promote physical activity and deliver tailored sessions to meet the needs of individuals and communities. They work with youth workers, community organisations, health professionals, and local authorities to make communities healthier, safer, and more active.

Apprentices will gain experience in adapting their approach to different audiences, including inactive teenagers, families, older adults, and marginalised groups.
