Kayleigh Hunter

Apprenticeship Tutor

I have always been drawn to the countryside, exploring the moors of Devon, wandering in the Shropshire Hills or getting lost in the Peak District. Throughout the past few years I have been able to expand this love of all things outdoors, through running DofE expeditions in the Brecon Beacons, teaching Outdoor Education in Surrey or spending my weekends paddle boarding, camping or hiking with my two Cocker Spaniels.

After University I completed my PGCE and worked for several years as a Geography Teacher, where I helped to run the DofE award as well as coordinate a range of exciting fieldtrips both locally as well as across Europe.

Prior to taking up my role with Channel Training I spent 13 years teaching Outdoor Education and Field Studies at a Centre in Surrey. Here I was responsible for training, mentoring and coaching apprentices through their Outdoor Activity Instructor Apprenticeship. Now, with my role at Channel training I look after our centres and learners across the South East of England.
